Dr. Edgar Massabni Brings Vascular Interventional Services Closer to Home
IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. – Dickinson County Healthcare is expanding heart care services for the community with the addition of Edgar Massabni, MD, to the Regional Heart Care Clinic.
Board-certified in cardiology, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and vascular and endovascular medicine, Dr. Massabni brings high levels of heart expertise to the Iron Mountain community. Dr. Massabni completed his Internal Medicine residency, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Massabni has an established working relationship with Dr. Shaker and the cardiology team at Dickinson. As well, many cardiology patients in Iron Mountain and the surrounding area have already been patients of Dr. Massabni. Before coming to DCH, Dr. Massabni served as an Interventional Cardiologist at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay, WI.
Passionate about providing excellent, life-saving care, Dr. Massabni provides evidence-based medicine that empowers the patient to be engaged and well-informed regarding their plan of care.
“I am fortunate to be in a field that provides me satisfaction every day, knowing that I make a tangible difference in patient’s outcomes,” he says. “Vascular disease continues to be underdiagnosed and under treated. I aim to help expand the scope of vascular services from screening to diagnosis and treatment to change the natural progression of the disease.”
Originally from Lebanon, Dr. Massabni lives in Green Bay with his wife Kim and son, Nicholas, who will be attending Northwestern University for premed next year following his graduation from Notre Dame Academy. His other son, Joseph, is a sophomore at the University of Chicago studying economics and computer science. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and traveling.
Dr. Massabni joins the Regional Heart Care Clinic providing heart health checks, advanced diagnostics, heart health plans, and cardiac rehabilitation.
